Matthew
Romberg, M.D.
Dr.
Romberg was born and raised in Austin, attending school
in the Eanes ISD and graduating from Westlake High School,
but his education took him across the country and the
state of Texas. He received his undergraduate degree
from Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts, with
majors in both Chemistry and African History. After
teaching science and history for several years at the
high school level in a small town outside of Houston,
he obtained his MD from the Texas Tech University Health
Sciences Centers in Lubbock and El Paso. He completed
his residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology
at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas.
Dr.
Romberg represents the fourth generation of Rombergs
with an interest in women's health care. His great-grandmother,
grandmother and mother have all been advocates for women's
health. He brings this long family history and a strong
commitment to providing quality women's health care
services to his practice. As a resident physician, Dr.
Romberg received multiple Five-Star Spirit awards and
a commendation from the nursing staff as the physician
most desired to work with in labor in delivery.
An
honorable mentioned All-American college sailor at Tufts
University, Dr. Romberg continues to enjoy competitive
sailing, an interest shared with his father. Dr. Romberg
lives in Round Rock with his wife, Janet, their son
Zachary and their spoiled Beagles Lucy and Mayer.
